HR Templates; what are they and why do I need them?

Human Resources is a key part to a successfully running business, however more often than not the smaller businesses don’t have the need, budget or resources for a HR department in house. As a result of this they tend to run the HR services themselves and if and when they need it.

 

This can create issues in the long run and become increasingly difficult as your company grows. Especially when you need to recruit new colleagues, manage a large group of people or even develop and update policies and procedures.

 

Here at Pytronot we can offer help and guidance with all HR procedures including providing updated and compliant HR templates to you and your staff. Below are some of the examples of HR templates and why each one could be needed:

 

Contract of employment – Each and every one of your employees will need a standard contract of employment when they start working for your business. It is used to set the conditions of employment, your expectations, salary package, information on annual leave and overtime, as well as other information that they will need to know. Without setting out this information you could be in breach of employment laws.

 

Termination letter – Terminating a contract is never an easy task but with a termination letter template at hand its simply one less stress to think about. More importantly without an official termination letter or written notice on the day of termination you cannot legally dismiss an employee.

 

Redundancy letter – You may need this template in the event of termination due to redundancy. The letter will need to include a notice period, final pay entitlements, date of the last day of work and the reason of the employee’s redundancy.

 

Leave policy – Each employee will be entitled to annual leave. A leave policy will confirm the amount of leave they are entitled to, when they are able to take the leave and the process they will need to carry out when they wish to book the time off.
